Tunnetun entomologin kovakuoriaiskirjan 3. painos käsinväritettyine kuparipiirroksineen "Jacob Sturm grew in prominence at age 16 and became in high demand for drawing and engraving insects. He began describing and illustrating his own collection in the first edition of this treatise in 1796. As his collection grew additional editions were made, the current being the third. Sturm was meticulous in illustrating fine detail of insects as well as providing exact size for each insect in his engraving evidenced in the plates of this edition where measuring bars are included next to insects not drawn to actual size. Sturm was one of the best entologist illustrators and engravers during the Golden Age of Natural History in the 18th and early 19th centuries. He illustrated a German edition of Oliver's classic French publication on insects in the Museum of Natural History, Paris. This is the 3rd Edition of Verzeichniß meiner Insecten & Sammlung."<br/><br/>13 x 21 cm. Ex Sten Stockmann.
