The world of autograph collecting is enormous. In the three years since the publication of the last edition of this book, the popularity of this hobby and the multitude of available autographs have lead the authors to publish specialized subject guides to be used in conjunction with this general guide. The first is The Sanders Price Guide to Sports Autographs. Consequently, all sports-related names and prices were omitted from the general guide. In the same format as the previous editions, it is two books in one. The first half is a historical overview and introduction to the field, with valuable advice on attending auctions, handling dealers, various ways of acquiring autographs, and preservation. Additional information about manuscripts, collectors clubs, and a bibliography of related resources conclude the first half of the guide. Dimensiot 23 ¤ 19 cm.
