Haleplibahçe Mosaic Museum is home to the only mosaic depicting female Amazon warriors mentioned in mythology. The mosaics depict hunting scenes of Amazon women, some animals and people. The mosaics depicting the warrior Amazon Queens are considered to be among the world's first examples. Experts describe them as the world's most valuable mosaics due to their mosaic technique, art, and the fact that they are made of original stones from the Euphrates River with a size of 4 square millimeters.
